What To Pray for When Praying for Others

Praying for someone is one of the greatest gifts, acts of love, or acts of friendship you can offer. A lot of the time we often ask God to provide, bless, and protect in a person’s life. All in which are perfectly fine to pray for.
However, there is a more effective and powerful way to pray for someone. Incorporating the word of God in your prayer life allows for the authority of God to be present and activated.

Here are some important and specific scripturally based (Colossians 1: 9-14) requests to keep in mind when continually praying for the lives of others and ourselves:

That God’s plan be revealed & understood(Colossians 1:9):
God’s plan for our lives isn’t revealed or understood all at once. He reveals his plans according to his time and way. We just have to be willing to seek Him out, trust Him, and follow Him.
That we conduct ourselves in a Christ-like way(Colossians  1:10):
A lifestyle in Christ is evident to other people by the way we live and the fruit that we bear; love, joy, peace, patience, kindness,  goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self control(Gal 5:22-23).
