I don't know why but lately I've been feeling extra crafty . So much so that I've been spending a lot of time in my local craft store(s). In addition to this, I've been
The last time I checked, the the original cost of the bracelet was around $600! I'm not trying to brag or anything (okay maybe I am) but I recreated a similar looking bracelet for under $10 (above pic on right). It would have been a lot cheaper if I had a few of the supplies on hand.
You Will Need:
* An old pearl necklace or glass pearl beads (I used glass pearl beads...$1.50 for a pack of 5)
* Satin or Grosgrain ribbon (about 14-16 inches, give or take depending on wrist size)
* Sewing needle
* Thread (preferably embroidery thread)
* Fabric fray (for the ends of your ribbons so that they won't fray)
Directions:
**Click here to watch a video on how to make this bracelet. The steps are a little different and a bit easier to understand compared to the steps below...you get the same results.**
Start about 6 inches from the end of the ribbon sewing the pearls on with a basic running stitch, leaving a space the size of a pearl between each bead. Use about 8-10 pearls (depending on size of pearls and wrist).

Once pearls are on start pulling the thread, just like you would if you were gathering fabric.

Tie a simple knot by the last pearl, at each end of the bracelet.

Apply Fabric Fray to each end of the ribbon. Tie into a bow and ta-dah!!! A beautiful bracelet for you or a friend (makes a great gift).
