Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord. This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger. Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying, “Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests (Luke 2:11-14).”
Christmas has become so comercialized now a days. As a result CHRIST is definately being taken out of Christmas. Sure it's great and a lot of fun to give and recieve gifts, put up festive decor, eat and be merry with family and friends. But let us not forget the true awesomeness of Christmas. Christ coming into this world so that we may receive forgiveness from our sins, restore an intimate relationship with God, live life on Earth more abundantly and purpose driven, and reserve an eternal home in Heaven. These are the true reasons why we celebrate CHRISTmas!
